New projects for 2021
New to Maggie Rose are the Baby Boo Rompers, The Martha skirt in corduroy with wide elasticated glitter waistbands and some lovely new fabric to make lots of lovely clothes.
I have four different basic design of dresses; The Rose dress - a more traditional style dress in rich cotton fabrics, perfect for a special occasion and can be worn in the winter months with a top underneath or simply in the summer without; The Florence dress - a playtime dress, easy to wear and roomy - made from jersey and gorgeous fabrics and typically a summer dress and The Maggie dress - a tunic style dress, suitable all year round, made out of soft needle cord fabric with a motif on the front to match the lining and The Olivia dress - again typically a summery dress which can be worn down by the beach or on lovely warm summer days.
The Martha skirt has two different waistband styles - one with an encased elasticated waist on the cotton skirts and and one with an exposed waistband on the corduroy skirts. The Martha skirt comes in a variety of fabrics depending what is available at the time.
The Pyjama's are made out of the cotton fabric that is available and with a short sleeved cotton t-shirt as the top which can be personalised with the child's initial or you can simply choose a design to go on the front. I have recently added The Willa Nightie to the nightwear section on popular demand! This is a lovely design with an elasticated neckline and hemline on the sleeves. The Willa nightie is available in pale pink and pale blue stripes.
The Bloomers are available in a variety of fabrics - needle cord or cotton. These are perfect for babies and can be worn under dresses as well.
The Jemima Topis a lovely smock style top which can be worn over a polo neck top or in the warmer months just as is. Made in a lovely soft lawn cotton fabric with elasticated sleeve hems and neckline. A simple style that would look good with a pair of shorts or a pair of jeans.
Face masks - of course these were on high demand at the beginning of the pandemic, so it made sense to make some out of all my cut off fabrics! Available in a variety of fabrics, it's a bit of a pick n'mix unless you state otherwise what you might like.
Headbands - This was just a fun little accessory that I added to my collection again a good use of using up as much of my fabric scraps as possible - I hate to waste fabric, so I keep all my odds and ends so that I can make things like headbands and face masks.
